Kelly + Mike

Kelly and Mike were an different kind of referral. They were friends with a former client and happened to see their wedding photos on Facebook. When they themselves got engaged a few months later, they immediately thought of Vantage Pictures!
Their wedding was beautiful, with a fill Catholic Mass that I was given quite a bit of liberty to photograph. I very much enjoyed the solemnity of the occasion, and hope that feeling translated into the photographs. Their wedding was incredibly classy, and I look forward to working with them on their Fine Art Books a few weeks down the road.
Congratulations Kelly and Mike!!!
Brides – Maryland
About 4 months ago I was contacted by a photo editor from Brides magazine. She was interested in using a recent wedding of ours in their Maryland issue. Needless to say we were excited at the prospect of having images published, and stoked for our clients, Laurice and Alex. They just happened to be, after all, the ones who actually put the effort into planning the wedding (not to mention being the ones who got married).
The magazines are on stands now in Maryland. Thanks to Cristina from Brides and Laurice and Alex!

Alexis and Spencer – B’nai Mitzvah

Congratulations to both Alexis and Spencer!
Holiday Posts

The Holidays are finally past, but I wanted to post a few photos from them. We spent Christmas with family down in Hampton VA, so I tried to hide behind the camera to avoid being cornered by another one. After Christmas was over we drove back up to PA to spend time with my Mother in Law and to do some House Hunting (possible news on that front coming soon!!!!)
Well, we’ve come full circle, and we’re back down in Hampton. I’ve got a wedding tomorrow in Newport News VA. Then next week it’s off with Joel Wiebner to Paradise Island in the Bahamas for a Destination wedding that I booked from Chicago. When does the Winter season slow down???
Happy Holidays (Christmas, New Years, etc.) to everyone! I can’t wait to work with you this year: 2010!
The Flaming Lips :: Wet

If anyone finds a lost 8gig Kingston card laying around downtown philly, chock-full of images from the most recent Flaming Lips show… please return it.
In and Out

Last night my lovely wife and daughter left me.
Well, they went to visit Sarah’s sister in Michigan, so it’s really not that dramatic.
This means that I’m spending all my time glued to the computer, listening to Pandora, writing emails, finishing weddings (2 left), and updating our pricing. It feels great to make some serious headway beating back the To Do list, and while I definitely miss my family, it’s been fun.
A Neighborhood Stroll

Sarah and I have been taking advantage of some Spring-ish weather and our last “sane” week to test out the wheels of our Britax Stroller. Finlee (our TWO month old daughter) is always happy to get out of the house, so we try to oblige her whenever possible. She usually rewards us by promptly going to sleep. It’s fun showing her new things, and even though her attention span only lasts 14 minutes (or 2 seconds), we get a kick out of it.
Wedding Season is just around the bend. Our first of the official wedding of the Spring Season is next weekend, and I have to admit that I’m chomping at the bit to try out some new ideas. We’ve been busy with travel and commercial jobs during the Winter, but whenever nuptials become involved, life gets a little crazy. Despite the couple of forays into the wild with the Britax, we’ve actually been laid low this week with colds. It’s sucked (in all sincerity), but the end is near… just in time for taxes.

Surprise Party!

In the normal scheme of things, we usually aren’t called on to shoot birthday celebrations, but I really lucked out with this one. It was a Surprise Party held at the up-scale George’s Restaurant in Wayne, PA for the beautiful Dr. Allyson Abbott. I was immediately impressed with the large crowd, all of whom were excited to see their friend, and enjoyed photographing the party as the night went on. Happy Birthday to Dr. Abbott, and congratulations to all on a fantastic surprise party!
